AI can be useful for thinking, exploring, organizing and working through problems. Like every other technology that has entered the design industry, how it is used matters.​

 

There is a difference between using AI as a tool and using it to create or alter something that should remain an accurate representation of the original. ​Logos and other brand assets should remain exact.

 

Photography should respect the original image and the photographer's work. Materials representing a specific product, animal or subject should not be altered in ways that misrepresent what is real.

 

​The same consideration applies to materials supplied for a project. AI-generated or AI-altered material isn't automatically suitable simply because it has been provided.​The tools evolve. Professional judgment still matters.​
